When a patient doesn’t want scars to show after an eyelid procedure, the modern technique of a transconjunctival blefaroplasty is recommended. The perfect patients for this technique are young women who want to make the bags under their eyes disappear or older women who are not looking for an extreme change, just the removal of fat. Men find benefits in this technique due to the lack of external scars.   

The surgery is performed under sedation and local anesthesia, in the operation room of the medical center. The incisions are done inside the inferior eyelids, by doing this the fat bags are rapidly exposed, and are cut out according to what has been planned. When the surgery is over the patient will quickly wake up without showing signs of the procedure.  After a brief stay in the recovery room the patient can go home.  The patient should rest for three days.
